Anchor text is still a huge ranking signal

It doesn’t always guarantee high click-through-rates

Everyone likes to see a nicely designed website, but given a choice between a great looking website with little/poor content and a poor looking website with great content, people prefer the latter. They aren’t searching online to look at pretty websites. They’re searching online for a specific reason and if you meet their needs then there’s a good chance that they’ll make a purchase from you, either straight away or in the future. Google is pretty good at understanding the general context of a site’s content. Stop marketing to audiences and instead market to customers at scale. SEO is the process that brings traffic to a website, but if you can’t convert that traffic into a sale, email subscriber, etc., there is no point in having it in the first place.
Make a concerted effort to keep up with SEO advances
Make sure you add responsive mobile URLs to your sitemap. Mobile friendly pages tend to rank higher for mobile search results, therefore inform the Search Engines which pages on your website is mobile friendly. Once you’ve done a thorough analysis of your chances to rank on a specific term, the next step is to write an amazing article and optimize it accordingly. And hit publish. Users searching for your site on Google might not necessarily want to land on your homepage. While Google is the big dog when it comes to search engines, don’t forget about Bing. It does hold a considerable share of the search market. While focusing on user experience as we’ve advocated will work for Bing as well, you should do technical audits of your site for both search engines, to make sure you have not missed any important element. Most SEOs would agree that Google’s SERP features can be a double-edged sword. They can significantly cut into your site traffic if you aren’t featured in one, or they can result in a welcome boost if you are. As Google continues its journey for the perfect user experience on their own site, you have to strive to keep up.
